RDA EU open calls for Early Careers, Experts and organisations adopting RDA outputs, to support growing the RDA community.

RDA Europe 4.0, as the European plug-in to RDA, currently has 3 open calls to support growing the community of research data experts and practitioners.  RDA Europe offers grants for Early Careers, Experts to attend Plenary 13 in Philadelphia and for organisations to develop a use-case for adoption of RDA outputs.

Call for adoption projects

RDA Europe is calling upon European organisations adopting RDA output.  Implementation of these outputs can take place in a wide range of contexts. Within a research group, an organisation, a discipline, a tool, a data service or any other context in which adoption can provide lessons for others. Applications from industry, charity, research organisations, public bodies and learned societies are all welcome provided that they come from groups eligible for European funding.  The RDA EU Adoption Projects Programme offers up to eight grants of a maximum of €15,000 each. The intent of the call is to support and encourage examples of adoption which can benefit others, to promote these examples and to learn lessons about benefits and challenges that arise from making use of RDA recommendations. Since its inception in 2013, 17 Recommendations and 11 Outputs have been produced by RDA Working Groups and Interest Groups. See the complete list of RDA outputs here.

Call for Early Career Researchers and Scientists working with Data

RDA Europe is seeking applications from students and early career professionals from higher education or research institutions  with studies focusing on research data sharing and exchange challenges. The Early Career support programme will offer up to seven grants of maximum €1750. Now at its 11th edition, the RDA Europe Early Career programme has become a platform for early career researchers working with data to share ideas, experiences and practical advice, while learning what leading data scientists and practitioners are currently working on. This programme has offered grant winners the opportunity to engage directly with and support the work of RDA Working and Interest Groups, to learn and contribute, and become a part of the RDA global data sharing community.

Call for Researchers and Data Experts

The purpose of the expert grants is to encourage and support participation of individuals who have a strong interest in RDA, and are drivers or adopters of one or more of the RDA outputs to enable data sharing by or from their project or organization. If you are a mid-career or senior data professional or scientist, interested or already committed to RDA activities you can apply for one of five grants of maximum €1800 to support your participation to the Plenary meeting.
