Position open for a Research Development Associate at the University of Arizona

The University of Arizona, one of RDA Organizational Members,  is seeking to fill a Research Development Associate (RDA) in Research Development Services (RDS) with primary responsibility for supporting faculty in their pursuit of funding opportunities from primarily federal programs. Applicants should have experience with planning and project team facilitation for proposals as well as have a successful proposal track record in pursuing grants and awards from a variety of sponsors (e.g., NSF, NIH, Department of Energy, Institute of Museum and Library Sciences). The new RDA will guide and support interdisciplinary/multi-institutional teams, campus infrastructure units, and early career faculty in developing and preparing successful extramural funding proposals. This role requires a self-directed individual with excellent oral and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.

The new Research Development Associate will join a team of fellow Associates. Proposal assignments within RDS are made based on sponsor and field-specific expertise. This new RDA will primarily support extramural opportunities in the data, computing, network, and information sciences. This role demands that the individual be forward-thinking in anticipating funding opportunities, possess a collaborative approach, attitude for excellence, and creativity.
