Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information

Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) is a government-funded research institute established in 1962 and contributes to the promotion of national science and technology, industrial development, and national welfare by establishing R&D and service system of science and technology infrastructure. KISTI has three key roles. 1) Comprehensive collection, analysis and management of science and technology and related industrial information. 2) Professional research on technology, policy and standardization of information management and distribution 3) Systematic establishment and operation of scientific and industrial technology R&D infrastructure.

 

KISTI and the RDA

KISTI has been participating in various WG/IG and TAB (Technical Advisory Board) activities by attending the RDA Plenary with many experts over the past several years. In particular, in 2022, International Data Week (IDW 2022) was successfully held in Seoul, Korea in cooperation with domestic research data-related institutions. KISTI has been working hard to apply and activate Open Science, such as Open Access, Open Data, and Open Collaboration, to domestic science and technology fields. In addition, KISTI has been steadily encouraging and supporting the domestic application of RDA's guidelines and recommendations.
