The Georgia Tech Library defines excellence in the creation, preservation, curation, and connection of scholarship. Through this work we create new paths of learning, knowledge, information, and resources to develop leaders who advance technology and improve the human condition. Our vision is innovating services, tools and access to all for an inclusive future. We do this by providing innovative digital and physical environments, curated scholarly content, outstanding services, and information expertise. The Georgia Tech Library, since it's earliest incarnation in the Carnegie building in 1907, has served the needs of our students, faculty and staff. It is open 24 hours a day during times when school is in session.

Recognizing the value of research data within the scholarly ecosystem, the Georgia Tech Library is committed to helping researchers manage, share and preserve this critical asset. The Library supports the RDA mission to promote data-sharing and data-driven research, and as a member will participate in these international efforts.

Susan Wells Parham

Susan Parham is responsible for implementing digital library services that support the scholarly communication lifecycle – providing long-term access and preservation for digital scholarship and research. Her research interests include understanding the research practices of scholars; she served as co-PI on the IMLS funded DART Project: using data management plans as a research tool. She has served on the DMPTool Advisory Board, as Associate Editor for Research Data Access & Preservation for the ASIS&T Bulletin, and was a member of the founding Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication Editorial Board. Parham co-manages digital curation initiatives.
