About the Community Cross-fertilisation Carousel

The RDA’s 10th anniversary celebrations culminate in a 1-hr webinar to reflect on the outcomes of the Community Cross-fertilisation Workshop series organised by the RDA Secretariat during this celebratory year. 

Aligned with the 10th Anniversary schedule, a virtual Community Cross-fertilisation Workshop took place each month from February to November 2023, bringing RDA Working groups, Interest groups and Communities of Practice with a similar focus together with members of the wider research data community to discuss the following research data management themes of interest to the community: 

• FAIR data, software and hardware - see the summary

• Metadata and technical infrastructure / Persistent Identifiers - see the summary 

• Agricultural and environmental data - see the summary 

• Research Data Policy / Research Evaluation - see the summary

During this webinar, participants will be taken through a whistle-stop tour of the workshop series, exploring the content, and learning about the main challenges and future actions for the RDA community to focus on.

What is ‘RDA Roulette’?

At the end of the webinar, participants are invited to stay on for ‘RDA Roulette’, an optional speed networking session whereby participants are randomly grouped to network for a short period of time. The idea is that each participant will experience rounds of speed networking during the session. This is an exciting opportunity to meet new RDA members, make new connections, and send off the year with a bit of fun!
