Catriona MacCallum is Director of Open Science at Hindawi. She has more than 19 years experience in scholarly publishing and 14 years in Open Access Publishing. She worked initially for Elsevier before joining the Open-Access publisher PLOS in 2003 as Senior Editor of their launch journal PLOS Biology, leaving as Advocacy Director in 2017. She is currently a member of the EC Open Science Policy Platform and the UKRI Open Access Practitioners Group. She also serves on the Advisory Boards of Dryad, the Royal Society (Publishing) and is Chair of the OASPA Policy Committee.
